PPNS and SFA: 1st Pilot Project

13th September 2022 marked the start of our first pilot project of our technology-led crop management system with Pertubuhan Peladang Negeri Selangor (PPNS), the state farming organisation of Selangor as our partner and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) conducting a parallel academic study to analyse the results. A total of 7 farmers, 12 ha in block F06 at Sungai Panjang, Selangor made up our project group, where we implemented full growth cycle seed and soil treatment with AI-driven pest and disease control. UPM concluded in their report that “SFA’s bio pesticide-based Crop Care 360 rice management system is highly effective at managing pest and disease in rice.” (UPM, 2023).
